Runathaon - 2020

The much awaited RUNATHON is back with the 5th edition run!

Runathon2020 will be held at the green township of Lokhandwala, Kandivali adjoining the periphery of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Runathon2020 organised by Satsang Pariwar Youth Wing, invites runners, fitness enthusiasts across the city to participate in this run.

Bib Expo - 1st February 2019, bib expo venue will be communicated subsequently. No bibs will be couriered or distributed on the race day.

Race categories

5km Family run - WE BELIEVE THAT THE FAMILY WHO RUN TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER. A great and fun way for the parents to run along with their children. Even individual runners can participate in this event

5km Timed Run: Timing chip will be provided in this category.

10km: This is a timed run and the electronic timing chip will be provided

Age categories and trophies

5 km run categories: Female and male 8yrs and above will be allowed to participate in this category. Top 3 runners both male and female (only runners who opt for timing chip) in open category win Trophies.

10 km run categories: Women & Men 14 years and above will be allowed to participated in this category. Both male and female Top 3 runners in open category win Trophies.

op 3 Female & male runners in 10 km & 5 km (with running chip) who are residents of Lokhandwala township stand to win separate trophies.

Age eligibility:

5km distance category is allowed for participants of 8 years and above (Born on or before 1 Feb 2012). Participants under 12 years of age should be accompanied by guardian. The parent/guardian also need to register for the run.

10km distance category are allowed for participants of 14 years and above (Born on or before 2 Feb 2006)

Race support and nutrition

The venue and the race route will have ample water & nutrition stations.

All runners will be provided breakfast post the run. Please retain your bib as a proof of participation in the run. Breakfast will be provided only runners with valid bibs.

Ambulance and medical support would be provided during the run.

Time limit for 10 km - 100 Minutes; 5 km - 60 Minutes. All support stations, volunteers and timing mats will be removed post this time cutoff.

Race affiliation and timing eligibility for other marathons

* The event is organized under the aegis of Mumbai Suburban District Athletics Association.

* Electronic timing chip will be given to all participants in 10km. Timing chip is optional for participants of 5km and must be selected at the time of registration.

Spirit Of Sport 2020

Goregaon Sports Club is delighted to announce the Fourth Edition of its annual Road Race,

Spirit of Sport 10.0 , on Sunday, 2nd of February, 2020.

This year, we have introduced the Half Marathon distance as a new challenge for our Runner

Friends. The route is planned to take one out of the Mindspace area towards Mith Chowki, past

INS Hamla and on a very scenic running route all the way to Danapani and back. While the

route itself has been charted, we are working on the required permissions which we are

reasonably confident about securing. However, in the event that this becomes impossible, we

have also planned a 10 Miler run within the Mindspace and surrounding areas. We promise you

this will also be an exciting race to run. In the event that you have chosen to run our Half

Marathon and if we cannot offer this to you as above, you will have the unconditional option to

cancel and claim a full refund of registration fee and the related GST.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our Runner Friends once again on the 2nd of February !!

Mumbai Half Marathon - 4th Edition

Qualifier Run for all Major Marathons in India.

Run For Flamingos

Save Mangroves, Save Wetlands

Location - Palm Beach road, Navi Mumbai (Subject to Approval from authorities)

We are excited to announce the second season of Run for Flamingos

This run is being organized to create awareness and educating people about importance of mangroves, wetlands and flamingos.

The run is planned in and around precious mangroves and wetlands of Navi Mumbai rich in biodiversity, having reserved mangrove forests and is the habitat of many bird species including migratory birds like flamingos. Its biodiversity / marine life has been studied by Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and TERI who have issued various reports recommending that the area’s biodiversity be preserved.

This run is an official qualifier for all major Marathons in India. All the categories will take place at the scenic & absolute flat Palm Beach Road which is perfect for you to register your Personal Best.

The Unity Run Thane mini-marathon is being organized by Ekal Abhiyan, a organization dedicated for welfare of tribals sponsored by United Agarwals Trust.

Every great city of the world must have a Marathon. Nothing binds a city as a marathon does!

Since its inception in 1988, Procam International conducted a host of world-class sporting properties across disciplines including cricket, tennis, football, volleyball, WWE, badminton, squash, rugby and horseracing. However, Anil & Vivek, always dreamed of conducting an international marathon in India. They firmly believed that running was a panacea for society - bringing together people, from across the world, of varying abilities, caste, creed and social strata, onto a common platform. The road is a great leveller

Sixteen years ago, India was a spectatorial nation and participative sport such as distance running, was a far thought.

The year 2003 saw Anil and Vivek attend the London Marathon. That experience was an endorsement of their dream, it helped unfold the power of sport right in front of their eyes. The rush of the legs, the pulsating heartbeats, the vibrant positive energy and the smiles on that finish line, were symbolic of each participants triumph. An unforgettable event, it left an indelible mark on the brothers. And thus, began the journey of The Mumbai Marathon.

It wasnt easy, but the belief and support from the Government, all partners and stake-holders, has stood the test of time.

Mumbai Marathons journey for the past 15 years has been transformational - from starting a fitness revolution that has spawned over 1000 road races in the country, to creating a springboard for Indian long and middle-distance runners; people coming together - beyond politics, religion, race, colour, - a beacon of humanity and compassion for the nation and the world.

Today, the Tata Mumbai Marathon is amongst the top 10 marathons in the world and has truly put India on the global map of distance running. The USD 405,000 event has six different race categories - Full Marathon (42.195 kms), Half Marathon (21.097 kms), Dream Run (6.6 km), Senior Citizens Race (4.7 km), Champions with Disability category (2.1 km) and a newly added Open 10K run. Over 46,000 participants including amateurs, fitness enthusiasts and the world’s best distance runners, take to the streets of Mumbai on the third Sunday of January every year.

The event is not only the biggest participative sport in the country, but also the single largest fund-raising platform for Civil Society Organisations. Since its inception, the event has raised in excess of INR 266 crores benefitting over 700 NGOs, supporting myriad causes and helping millions in our society, live a #BetterTommorow.

Walkathon 2020

Aga Khan Education Service, India is organizing a Walkathon for Awareness on Climate Change in association with Diamond Jubilee High School (ICSE) and Diamond Jubilee High School for Girls.

The event is open for registration to all our teachers, students (grade V to IX), parents, staff, well-wishers, alumni and invitees to Walk for the cause - Awareness on Climate Change.

Kids Cool A Thon

OVERVIEW

KIDS COOL-A-THON is a unique idea where kids will be participating for a RUN of 1 km, 2km & 4km. The uniqueness of this event is that, kids will be running in Winters a Cool Climate and experience the Winter\\\'s magic and support while running without using any winter wear and protectors.

A heightened dose of nature not only adds to the thrill of kids’ outside play but sharpens their skills too.

UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE RACE:

Every registered runner will get free t-shirt (For registrations done till 30th Dec 2019).

Finisher medal will be provided to all runners on completion of race.

Certificate will be given to all the runners on the completion of the race.

AGE & RACE CATEGORIES:

1 km: This run is open for all kids between 5 years to 7 years of age.

2 km: This run is open for all kids between 7 years to 10 years of age.

4 km: This run is open for all kids between 10 years to 15 years of age.

You agree that Kids Cool-A-Thon with its event organiser Sniper Media or any of its sponsors/ partners/ volunteers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.

Race & Route is subject to approval by Authorities

You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety.

You also agree to stop running if instructed by the Race Director or the Medical Staff or by the Aid Station Volunteers.

You confirm that your name and media recordings taken during your participation may be used to publicize the event.

You may acknowledge and agree that your personal information can be stored and used by Kids Cool-A-Thon / event organisers Sniper Media or any other company in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.

You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force majeure or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/ cancel/ postpone the event.

The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Any amount collected from rejected applications alone will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges wherever applicable)

Race day T shirt, goodie bags and other items are complimentary. T shirt sizes and quantities are ordered well in advance. While we try our best to get you the correct size, you acknowledge that the organizers will not be held responsible in case of short of any T shirt size or other items

For any reason you cannot turn up on race day, no refund of any form will be given.

As this registration is being made on behalf of a minor, I confirm that I am the parent / guardian of the child and that he/she has my permission to take part in the event. I further concur that all the above rules shall apply to him/her as if he/she were a major.

Participants parents must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs. Bibs can be distributed in-absentee with written consent of the registered runner parent. Request for change in race category will not be entertained.

Water/ Hydration will be provided on the venue.

Parking vehicles in the area may be a problem so please try to Car Pool and help to save the environment and promote a healthy lifestyle. Parking at owner\\\'s risk.
