Jito Ghatkopar organising marathon RUN TO CURE 3rd Edition ( awareness for dialysis ). The idea and agenda for this Marathon is to have maximum participation and awareness towards Dialysis & Raise the funds towards dialysis center. Run To Cure Awarness For Dialysis is organizing a Marathon Event on 2nd Feb, 2020 Event starts from 06.00 am onwards.
About JITO:
In India today, the cost of Kidney Dialysis is prohibitively high and beyond the reach of 90% of kidney patients. JITO�s primary moto is Seva. JITO Mumbai Ghatkopar Chapter put this vision into reality by creating a world-class, life-saving Kidney Hemo -Dialysis Center at Rajawadi Hospital in Sept 2013 on Charitable basis.
In Sept 2013, the Center was set up with generous donation by leading personalities of Jain Community and a total of 6 hi-tech Dialysis Machines were installed at the cost of Rs. 75 Lakhs. Mr. Sunil Prabhu ji, then Mayor of Mumbai, inaugurated the Dialysis Center and since then over 22,000 dialysis have been successfully performed bringing smiles on the face of many. The Center has been professionally managed by trained medical personnel of Apex Kidney Care Pvt Ltd having years of experience in caring for kidney patients.
While regular dialysis costs Rs. 900 per sitting, JITO Mumbai Ghatkopar Chapter has conducted over 22,000 dialysis at a very affordable rate of Rs. 200 for non-Jain patients and absolutely Free of Charge for Jain patients. Annually there are 6,000 dialysis which are undertaken per annum. The idea & objective is to keep it running as long as it can.
